Pride darksiders 34/12/2023 ![]() ![]() Most obvious example is killing the Jedi - as far as you know, you need those guys! That's like the entire plot of the game! Aside from that running around being an asshole and murdering people for no reason benefits you in no way whatsoever and might actively harm you. However, it doesn't make sense even from a practical perspective, let alone Kreia's philosophy. ![]() If you pick every evil option in the game regardless of whether it really makes sense (or vice versa) you max out your karma meter and get some stat bonuses. I think the issue is that what the game mechanics want and what Kreia wants are different. She likes intelligent lightsiders who understand the consequences of helping others not those who make themselves a martyr for anyone and everything. The Exile quickly has become her favorite student and that's not only an insult to her, but the straw breaking the camels back on top of every rejected apprentice she trained and every insult the council levied against her as a trainer. She severs the Jedi from the Force in an act of rage because despite everything she taught the Exile and them saving the Masters, they are blinded by their own fear and reject the Exile - and by proxy reject Kreia yet again. But a LS/DS Exile who kills the Master is nothing but a failure who proved them right, and her eyes never listened to a thing she said. A Dark Sider Exile can leave the Masters alive, beating the Jedi at their own game and opening their eyes to Kreia's "ultimate victory". This can be evident how a Light Sider Exile accomplishes their goals showing the Masters just how wrong they were about her students which is her goal. ![]() She is definitely manipulating you through the story but her skills as a mentor do keep popping up. She preaches to understand what you believe in, to understand that unwavering and uncompromising loyalty to that belief hurts you, but most importantly to believe in something - to be driven and have a goal. She preaches to not rely on others (like she did and "suffered indignities" for it). One may say "she wants no ideology for the exile, she wants him to be a centrist" Nope. She hates psychopathic darksiders who kill everything in sight because in the end that hurts you more than helps, and is the thinking of a brute in the way of Sion or Nihilus. On the flipside she likes cunning dark siders who are constantly looking for the advantage in any situation, and viewing allies as assets, not necessarily friends. The last thing she wants as your mentor at least is to blindly shackle yourself to a belief without understanding what it means. If you start seeing her commentary as challenges instead of necessarily disagreements it starts to lend favor to your argument. ![]()
